Artistic Director – Wendi DuBois

Wendi has held the position of Artistic Director for Youth Dance Theater of Michigan since 1998. Wendi received her early dance training at the Virginia Ballet School under the direction of Oleg Tupine, formerly of Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. After receiving a scholarship with the School of American Ballet in New York, she danced professionally with the Dayton Ballet Company. Wendi has held regular teaching positions and taught master classes at several area studios. Wendi performed with Ann Arbor Dance Works during her five-year term as an adjunct lecturer for The University of Michigan Dance Department. She has served as a panel screener in appropriating dance grants for the Arts Foundation of Michigan. She graduated from the University of Michigan and has a Masters Degree in American Studies from Michigan State University. Wendi currently teaches ballet technique, Pointe and partnering classes at Dance Arts of Chelsea.
