Swan Lake Act II (approx. 30 minutes)Act II Swan Lake with choreography after Marius Petipa and music by Tchaikovsky is often performed outside of the full length ballet. This year’s offering represents an encore performance of Youth Dance Theatre’s full length premiere staging of the production from the 2012 Spring Performance.Repertory section including the following:

A Premiere of a new Jazz work by Carrie Schotte
A Premiere of a new Jazz work by Maddy Prebola to offer younger dancers the opportunity to perform
A Premiere of a new Contemporary Ballet titled Tutu Puffs and Ballet Fluffs by Alyssa Alger to the music of Strauss.
Between, a Contemporary Ballet Solo premiered at University of Arizona, set on YDT dancers.
Heartstrings, a ballet work performed at Michigan Youth Arts Festival in 2007.
Danza de la Vida, choreography by Wendi DuBois for Michigan Youth Arts Festival 2013.Excerpts from Don Quixote, A full length ballet originally choreographed by Marius Petipa with music by L. Minkus based on Miguel Cervantes’ masterpiece Don Quixote. The ballet was first presented by the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, December 26, 1869. YDT will perform short excerpts with new choreography by Wendi DuBois supplementing some of the original movement by Petipa designed to showcase our youth dancers.
