Dance technique classes cover ballet, pointe, partnering, variations, jazz and modern. Topics covered in seminars may include nutrition, physiology, conditioning and injury prevention.

ENROLLMENT: Dancers must be at least ten years of age, or obtain permission from Artistic Director to participate in the Summer Intensive. Dancers not currently on Pointe may enroll for Session III only.
PLACEMENT: Decisions concerning placement will be made on the basis of technical level, recent dance experience, and age. Final placement is solely at the discretion of the Artistic Director.
SIBLING DISCOUNT: When the first dancer pays full tuition, siblings will receive a 25% discount on equivalent or lesser tuition.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Applicants must demonstrate both merit and financial need, and fall within the guidelines established by YDT staff. Interested students must complete a Scholarship Request.
PHOTO REQUIREMENT: Any female dancer who has not previously attended YDT Summer Dance Intensive and is not currently training at Dance Arts of Chelsea, should submit a 5X7 black and white photo in First Arabesque
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physician Form and Medical Release Form must be submitted prior to participation.

CAMP ATTIRE:
Ballet Technique and Pointe Classes
Solid-colored leotards, pink tights, pink shoes
Short skirt permitted for Repertory and Variations
Jazz and Modern
Solid-colored leotards and jazz shoes if available
Black tights or jazz pants are permitted
Additional Attire
Dance-appropriate warm-ups permitted for seminars and
some conditioning classes.
Hair should be neatly off face and neck.
Men’s Attire
Black tights, white t-shirt, black shoes preferred.
